VLADIVOSTOK, February 21, vladivostoktimes.com Two timber processing investment projects are going to run in Primorye in 2010. The JSC “Primorsklesprom” is to open the timber mill in the settlement Olga this year and by 2012 to launch the board lumber and laminate plant in Chuguevka; the press service of the Primorsky Territory Administration reports referring to the Primorsky Territory Department of Forest Industry.

The priority investment projects are successfully being implemented in the Primorye forest industry. So the plants of the JSC “Terneiles” located in Plastun, Primorsky Territory, turned out 84 thousand cubic meters of veneer and 68 cubic meters of lumber in 2009.

Opening of the timber processing plants in the Ternei District was one of the third timber processing investment projects in the Primorsky Territory that are adopted by the RF Government. The JSC “Terneiles” plants were put into operation last summer and currently are working according to schedule.

Two more investment projects are going to run in the Primorye forest industry in 2010. In the first three months of this year the laminated parquet plant “Lesexport” is to start operating in Dalnerechensk. The JSC “Primorsklesprom” is to open the timber mill in the settlement Olga this year and by 2012 to launch the board lumber and laminate plant in Chuguevka.

Let us remind you that in the framework of the priority investment projects implementation the timber processing companies are granted 50% rent benefit besides, to support the forest industry in Primorye and provide the infrastructure the companies are granted timber lands on lease. By estimates, when all industrial capacities are brought into service the amount of timber processing in Primorye will increase twice.
