VLADIVOSTOK, November 20, vladivostoktimes.com By the end of the year honorary Consulate of Republic of Ecuador will be opened in Vladivostok. It will be the third diplomatic mission of Latin American country, Vladivostok newspaper reports.

The principal agreement on establishment of Ecuadorian Consulate in Vladivosyok was made in late October during the visit of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correo Delgado to Russia. At the same time the agreement on sister city relations between Vladivostok and Manta was signed by Vladivostok and Manta Administrations.

As it was announced during the round table on collaboration between Vladivostok and its sister cities, which was held in media center of Vladivostok newspaper, all necessary documents for Consulate opening are ready.  Also the future honorary consul of Ecuador in Vladivostok has been chosen. Besides, nowadays they discuss the issue of transport communication between Vladivostok and Manta. It will allow strengthening bilateral trade relations because today bananas, flowers and other goods from Ecuador come to Primorye via Europe and Moscow.

Vladivostok is the third Russian city in number of foreign diplomatic missions after Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Some other countries, besides Ecuador, also expressed their wish to open their consulates in Primorye.
