VLADIVOSTOK, November 18, vladivostoktimes.com Vladivostok Air is the only airline which offers direct air flight from Khabarovask to Anadyr and back. In fact, air transport is the most convenient way of getting from Chukotka Autonomous Area to the Khabarovsk Territory. There are no railways between the regions and water transport is only seasonal available, as the Vladivostok Air public relations service reports. Reopening this air connection closed in October Vladivostok Air implements social program on support of local population for which air connection is the only way to make this trip. Also the airline helps Chukotka businessmen to transport their products. Before the direct flight opening, the situation was paradoxical. To go from Anadyr to Khabarovsk people had to fly via Moscow. Now Chukotka residents can take direct flight to Khabarovsk. Thus, there is no necessity of long and tiresome flight of 18 hours total duration. Now flight time is about four hours. Flight to Anadyr is scheduled for Wednesday started from December 9. Departure time is 10.05 am, arrival at 4.15 pm.
