Vladivostok Duma Meets Guests from HakodateValeriy ROZOV welcomed the delegation
VLADIVOSTOK, October 21, vladivostoktimes.com On October 21 the meeting with delegation from Vladivostok sister city Hakodate (Japan) led by the deputy head of Hakodate City Council Mr. Nogava Kunio and the Vice-Mayor Mr. Kudo Tosiki was held in Vladivostok Duma, as the Vladivostok Duma department on mass media and public organizations interaction reports. The Vladivostok Duma Chairman Valeriy ROZOV welcomed the Japanese delegation. He introduced his colleagues the Chairman of Committee on Social Politics and Veterans’ Affairs Ludmila TALABAEVA, the Chairman of Committee on Economic Policy and Municipal Property Marina LOMAKINA, the Chairman of Committee on Local Self-government, Law and Order and Legality Dmitrii PENYAZ. In his welcoming speech Valeriy ROZOV emphasized that this meeting promotes friendship and cooperation which our cities have for 17 years after signing Declaration on sister cities’ relations in 1992. Also Valeriy ROZOV told Japanese delegation about structure and functions of Vladivostok Duma, shared experience of work on General city plan, City Chart and budget, and some other important legal instruments. Speaking about coming APEC Summit 2012 in Vladivostok, the Chairman noted: “Our deputies gather for plenary sessions at least two times a month. Work on preparation to APEC Summit is going on. The Russian Federation Prime Minister Vladimir PUTIN who came to Vladivostok not so long ago gave it good appreciation.” In his turn, the Hakodate City Council deputy head Mr. Nogava Kunio thanked the Vladivostok Duma Chairman for the meeting and expressed his hope that friendly relations between our cities will develop further.
