VLADIVOSTOK, October 14, vladivostoktimes.com The infrastructure of “Kraskino Motor Post Control” in the Khasan District, Primorsky Territory, does not meet the modern requirements and is to be updated. To improve the procedure of customs clearance and let the individual persons go through the passport control without undue delay the Federal Customs Service made a decision to build the new terminal. Dmitriy RASTUNTZEV, the Deputy Chief of the Khasan Customs, reported at the press conference that was held in Vladivostok on Tuesday that this building will be funded at the expense of Federal budget. According to Mr. RASTUNTZEV, the survey work has been carried out by the Khasan Customs and the project documentation for building of the new post control terminal has been prepared. This matter depends only on financing. The fact is that the Kraskino Motor Post Control is not equipped with all necessary facilities to exercise the customs supervision properly and it causes difficulties in letting through the Khasan Customs even the booked coaches with the tourists. “Currently the Khasan Customs is making lots of efforts to increase the throughput capacity: we are installing the new X-ray equipment and weighing machines. When the post control is overrun by tourists, we can send there more personnel from other customs stations,” Dmitriy RASTUNTZEV explains. Kraskino Post Control is a limited liability company; it was set up in early 90-s and since has been working in interim operation. Other articles in this section
