 VLADIVOSTOK, July 10, vladivostoktimes.com Alexander KHOROSHAVIN, the Governor of the Sakhalin Area had a meeting with Mr. LEE IN SOK, the President of the Russia-Korean Economic Cooperation Institute.

As RIA PrimaMedia was informed in the Sakhalin Area Administration Department of the Information Policy, in his welcoming speech the Sakhalin Governor noted that the Republic of Korea has been one of the largest business partners of the Sakhalin Area for some years. The trade turnover between Sakhalin and Korea is growing both in money terms and on the basis of quantities. The Korean businessmen are actively investing in the Island economy.

In his turn Mr. LEE IN SOK told the Sakhalin Governor about the experience that the Institute gained working in the Russian Federation including the realization of the investment projects in the Khabarovsk Territory. The goal of the visit to the Sakhalin Area is to study the economic potential of the region. The Institute Administration had some meetings and negotiations with the leaders of the municipalities and local executive authorities.

As a result, the Sakhalin Area Governor Alexander KHOROSHAVIN and Mr. LEE IN SOK, the Institute President signed the memorandum on cooperation in the field of realization of the investment projects in the Sakhalin Area.
